Earlier this month I made a post about my CCA exam experience. I touched base on what materials I used to prepare and made another post on the lab I’ve setup to prepare for the CCA/CCAA exams. I also have a section of my blog dedicated to XenApp How To’s, posts I made while I was preparing to take the exams.
Last week I took the CCAA exam after only a few weeks shy of passing the CCA exam. I scheduled the exam quite quickly because I wanted to do the CCAA while my mind was still fresh from the preparation I’ve done for CCA earlier that month.
The exam itself was fair, it had one or two XenDesktop questions, but it was mostly concentrated on XenApp 6.5, which is what the exam was really testing me on. I mentioned in my last post that I’d like to see some simulation questions and this wish was granted in the CCAA 🙂 I have to admit, the simulations were also fair and well explained, I can’t complain! In terms of study material, I basically stuck to what I posted in the previous CCA post I made with the addition of the A22 guide from Citrixxperience which was nicely done and categorized by objectives.
As I mentioned before, my goal is to achieve the CCEE which requires me to take a few more exams, those exams being CCA on XenDesktop and XenServer. By preparing for those exams, I will also be preparing for the CCEE because this exams will test me on all three products (XenApp, XenServer, XenDesktop).
Btw, I passed the exam!
